Which documents will I need?

The core set is the same everywhere: a valid passport, the application form, photographs to the country’s specification, and proof that you can fund the trip or the course. Beyond that it depends on the visa type. We hand you a written checklist for your route before anything is lodged.

How long will my application take?

Anywhere from a couple of weeks for some visitor visas to more than a year for certain PR pathways. The visa office sets the pace, not us. We give you the current estimate for your route at the assessment and update you if it changes.

My visa is running out. Can it be extended?

Accepted Answer

Often, but the rules vary by country and by visa type, and an extension has to be lodged before the current visa expires. Contact us as soon as you know you need more time.

Question 4

My application was refused. What now?

Accepted Answer

Read the refusal letter carefully; it states the grounds. Some refusals can be appealed, others are better answered with a fresh application that addresses the reason. Bring the letter to us and we will tell you which applies.

Question 5

I need to travel urgently. Is faster processing possible?

Accepted Answer

Some countries offer priority processing for medical emergencies, bereavement or time-critical business. It is never guaranteed. Tell us the reason and the date and we will check what the destination allows.

Can I work while I am on a tourist visa?

Accepted Answer

No. A visitor visa does not permit paid work of any kind. Being caught working on one can mean removal from the country and a bar on returning.

What happens if I overstay?

Accepted Answer

Fines, detention, deportation and entry bans of several years are all possible, and an overstay record follows you into future applications elsewhere. If you need to stay longer, apply for an extension before the visa lapses.

How can I check that Unique International is a licensed agency?

Our Ministry of External Affairs licence is B-3508/PUN/PER/100/5/11512/2026. The certificate is on our licences page, and the number can be verified on the MEA eMigrate portal.

Question 9

What does ECR on my passport mean?

Accepted Answer

Emigration Check Required. Holders need clearance from the Protector of Emigrants before taking up work in certain countries. We file that clearance for you and arrange the mandatory pre-departure orientation.
